What We Believe

GOD

There is only One True God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (The Trinity)

JESUS

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He guides Christians into all spiritual truth and produces the fruit of the Spirit in the Christian’s life. The empowering of the Holy Spirit, which is the promise of the Father, is available for every Christian.

HUMANS

We believe humans were created in the image of God and placed in a sinless paradise to have fellowship with Him. But because of disobedience to God’s Word, sin entered the world and fellowship with God was broken and relationship between humans became strained. Humans through their own efforts cannot restore this brokenness.

SALVATION

Every person can have restored fellowship with God through salvation (accepting Christ’s offer of forgiveness for sin).

THE BIBLE

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining how followers of Jesus should live their lives.

THE CHURCH

The Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe the Church is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.

Faithbridge Church is a part of a global fellowship of churches known as the Assemblies of God. The above description of our beliefs is a very basic, introductory view of our doctrine.
